Feeding Tortoises

Desert tortoises are adopted by families in Tucson.

These are 8 year old siblings.

An adult can measure up to 14 inches in length.  

Hatchlings are only 2 to 2.5 inches long. 

Wild tortoises can live about 35 to 40 years or more.

Quan Yin is one of the most universally beloved deities in the Buddhist tradition.

She is the Goddess of Compassion and Mercy.
