Reflected Delights

Oil on Canvas 18 x 24

I've been out of the studio for a while...don't ask!
But, all is well and I'm in front of my easel with great vigor.
Like most artists: I feel driven to paint and feel imbalanced
when I have left the easel for any length of time
It is good to be back.

Misty

(oil on canvas, 20 x 24) SOLD

Horses like to "snuffle" you when you talk to them.
It is as if they are trying to smell your essence.

white Iris

(Oil on convex canvas, 16 x 12)

I belong to the  TUCSON IRIS SOCIETY.
I was attracted to this lovely one in a recent show.
Irises grow surprisingly well in our desert climate.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

How Now?

(oil on canvas, 18 x 24)

Continuing the long horned cow theme: this one is quite the flirt.
Long Horn cattle, both steers & cows, sport these extraordinary wide horns.
Magnify to see the artistic license I took with the horns.
So much fun!

Thanks for viewing my paintings, ya'll

Fancy Horned

(oil on board, 24 x 24)

I grew up in Texas and these long horned steers are a symbol of that state.
I took a bit of "artistic license" with the horns.
Check it out with magnification.

Thanks for viewing my paintings, y'all.

Sisters

(oil on gessoed panel, 14x11) NFS

This is a portrait of my sister and me.
She was 4 years old and I was one month old.
It is a sweet reminded of my older sister.
(painted from a black & white photo)

Peppers

(oil on canvas, 10 x 8)
Always good to get back to still life paintings.
This is one of my favorite vases
It has great reflective qualities.

Thanks for viewing my paintings.
