Onions & Garlic

(oil on canvas board, 6x6)

Onions & garlic are the beginning to many a good meal.
Here they are the main course.

One & 2 Halves

(oil on canvas board, 6x6)

 I really like yellow onions.
Not just how they taste, but the colors in their paper skins.
And I love the surprising resurrection when you leave them too long and they begin to sprout.

Ur Surrounded

(oil on canvas board, 10x10

The onion ninjas are at it again.
This time they've surrounded the brick.
Yellow onions are so tricky,

The onions have now ganged up on the brick!
He's down for the count; how did they do that?

Ur A Brick

(oil on canvas board, 10x10)

This little onion needed someone to lean on:  enter the brick.
He looks like he's been in a few fights but is standing tall.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.
Stay strong!

Spring Fever

(oil on canvas gallery wrap, 14x18)
SOLD

I must admit to Spring Fever.  While the N.E. is still under "tons" of snow; Tucson is acting like Spring.  Wildflowers are popping up and weeds are growing like crazy. Even the little desert ground squirrels are coming out of hibernation to play and scamper across our yard.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

TJ's Daffodils

(oil on gessoed board, 12x10)

Trader Joe's have this wonderful collection of closed daffodils at the check out.
You take them home; put them in water and voila!
Beautiful blooms, don't you think?

Sunny

(oil on linen board, 6x6)

These are the longest lasting flowers from the bouquet I painted last time.
Sun flowers always bring a smile to my face.

Fruit Phase

(oil on linen board, 6 x 6)

(Comment to me to purchase): $75

I'm on a fruit phase.  I liked the way the lights bounced off these cherries & grapes.
I often take pictures of my still life arrangements.  Sometimes the painting is a wipe off & I can revisit the arrangement later.  A little distance and time can inspire the right approach to a painting.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Plum Good (er)

(oil on gessoed board 10 x 12)
(Comment to me to purchase): $150

Remember the painting I did before this one with the orange and two plums called "Plum Good"?
If not, see below.  So, what do I call the same type of still life with more plums?
More Plum Good?
Plum Gooder?
Plum Better?
Tri-Plum Good?
What title would you use?

Plum Good

(oil on canvas board, 6x6)
(Comment to me to purchase): $75

I just love the way plums look in a painting.  There are so many colors!
And the big orange is a great back drop.

Blue Plate Special

(oil on canvas board, 10 x 10)
(Comment to me to purchase): $100

The pomegranate stayed in my studio until it became dry and "lumpy".
I hated throwing it out:  I love the colors in it's skin.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Impostor!

(oil on canvas, 8 x 10)
(Comment to me to purchase): $80

There is an imposter among the pears; trying very hard to blend in.
Okay, the pears are plastic, but the little vase is real.
Well, I'm confused...who's the impostor?

Thank you for viewing my paintings.
