...the Light Fantastic

(oil on 8 inch round canvas)
NFS
"Tripping the light fantastic".
I'm not sure where this term comes from,
but when I finished this painting: that is what came to my mind.
Dancing

The painting goes to the edges and round and round.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Mermaid 3

(oil on 8inch round canvas)
(See REdo)
I am back to painting mermaids.
Mermaids lend themselves to these round canvases in such a graceful way.
I like the flow of the image around the canvas.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

This is my friend Allison and her 3 year old son.
He was having a melt down in their back yard and she took this selfie.
I think her smile says it all.

Here is my set up with my drawing and the photo that I used for reference.

This is the beginning of the painting.

Indian Pear Cactus

(oil on 24 inch round canvas)
Please click here to bid or purchase: $500.

This is Indian Pear Cactus; a cousin to prickly pear cactus.
The fruit are typically eaten, minus the thick outer skin,
after chilling in a refrigerator for a few hours.
They have a taste similar to a juicy, extra sweet watermelon.

This is a round canvas with the painting done to the edges.
It hangs flat on the wall and needs no framing.

Here is the cactus in my yard earlier this year.
My wall is five feet tall, so you can see how big this cactus can grow.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Feeding Frenzy

(oil on 20 inch round canvas)

Please click here to purchase or bid: $400

This is the third koi painting in this series.
The smaller canvas brings the koi in closer to one another.
I like the way their bodies over lap one another.
If you've ever had the pleasure to feed koi; you've seen this behavior.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Dancing Koi

(oil on 24 inch round convex canvas)
Please click here to purchase or bid: $500.

These round canvases are just so much fun.
I like the effect of the koi swimming into and out of the painting.
Meditative.

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Mermaid

(oil on 12 inch round convexo canvas)
Please click here to bid or purchase: $115.

Continuing on a smaller scale with the round convex canvases.
Still aquatic in theme, but fantasy based from my imagination.
The fun of these round canvases is that you may turn them to suit your preference.

Here is another way to look at the mermaid on your wall.

Here you see the side of the canvas.
The painting goes around and around to the edge.

Do you have any ideas as to what you would like to see painted on a round canvas?

Thank you for viewing my paintings.

Koi

(oil on 24inch round canvas)
Please click here to bid or purchase: $500.

I've been experimenting with these round canvases.
Their shape inspires me towards aquatic themes.
These koi fish are from my imagination.
I like these canvases & plan to do more experimenting.
Stay Tuned!

Thank you for viewing my pantings.

Separation Anxiety

(oil on canvas board, 6x6)
Please click here to bid or purchase: $75.

I'm still fascinated by onions.
Specifically, the parchment like skin of the yellow onion.
This one began to separate as I adjusted it on my stand.
I liked the way it looked and decided to paint it that way.

Here is a picture of the model.

This is how grand it would look if you framed it.
